amwellAmwell™: Talk with a physician live online, anytime

Your medical plan includes the company-paid telemedicine service with Amwell that allows you to have live consults with a physician of choice at no cost to you.*

Instructions for Accessing Amwell:

  1. Click on the following link to access the Amwell website at
  2. Follow the instructions to register.
  3. Enter company code: hcrmc
  4. In the "Plan" field, select Anthem – AmeriBen, if your network is Anthem BCBS
  5. In the "Plan" field, select Aetna – Meritain, if your network is Aetna.

This new service provides instant access to primary care physicians 24 hours a day using a computer, tablet or smart phone. Use this company-paid resource when you need quick, convenient access to a doctor for issues such as sore throats, ear infections, urinary tract infections and more. In most states, the doctor can even prescribe certain medications, such as antibiotics.

Amwell doctors are U.S.-based, board-certified and licensed physicians in primary and pediatric medicine. No matter what time of the day or night, during the week, weekend or holidays, physicians are immediately available for consultations.

Amwell physicians provide:
Immediate treatment for simple conditions, as appropriate

Amwell services are not available in AK, AR, LA, TX
Amwell Physicians in Indiana cannot prescribe medication and Amwell physicians everywhere cannot prescribe controlled substances, muscle relaxants, E.D. or other "lifestyle" medication

*NOTE: Doctor visits on Amwell are paid for by your employer for members enrolled in the Basic 60 EPO, Flex PPO or Premier 80 HRA Plans in 2016. Members of the Advantage HSA Plan will be charged $39 for the consultation if they have not yet met their deductible. If you were charged and should not have been, contact a Care Coordinator for help with your reimbursement.
